Deck Of The Day #31 - More Sneaking Less Showing

We don't forget about Legacy! I would also like to draw your attention to the creature suite. Griselbrand and Emrakul are the usual suspects

We don't always play Modern & Standard. There is also Legacy (in GPs as well) and with such an extended card pool this format is Fertile Ground for new and exciting brews. For example, this one; maybe you wanted to play Sneak and Show but you could not afford the Volcanic Islands nor the Show and Tell? Jeff Hoogland has you covered!

4 Simian Spirit Guide
3 Godo, Bandit Warlord
3 Griselbrand
2 Emrakul, the Aeons Torn
2 Worldspine Wurm
4 Seething Song
4 Through the Breach
4 Chalice of the Void
4 Lotus Petal
3 Batterskull
4 Blood Moon
4 Sneak Attack
9 Mountain
4 Ancient Tomb
4 City of Traitors
2 Sandstone Needle
Sideboard
2 Magus of the Moon
1 Pyroclasm
2 Shattering Spree
2 Pyroblast
2 Sudden Shock
4 Trinisphere
2 Pyromancy

Why playing this instead of Sneak and Show? Well - first of all, we are much more explosive (Forget about those pesky Counter spells). Second: our mana base is more robust. Third: maybe we no longer play Counter spells, but 4 Chalice of the Void and 4 Blood Moon make for a good disruption suite; especially if we play them on our first turn, thanks to one of our sol lands plus Lotus Petal / Simian Spirit Guide.

I would also like to draw your attention to the creature suite. Griselbrand and Emrakul are the usual suspects, but Worldspine Wurm matches surprisingly well with the 'Sacrifice' clause in Sneak Attack and Through the Breach. Last but not least Godo may sound a bit exotic but he will attack for 6 and leave a Batterskull behind.

The sideboard includes additional combo pieces (Pyromancy is sweet with Emrakul) plus additional disruption - Trinisphere is nice against Daze and Force of Will alike, not to mention the hate it brings against Ad Nauseam.

A very refreshing option, don't you think?
