Deck Of The Day #4 - Jeskai Control

Standard Jeskai. We have already discussed the new versions of the Rally deck; today we bring you the port of another mainstay of last Standard: Jeskai (to be honest, this is the second Jeskai deck we bring to you). But how about adding a little spice to it? How about... madness?...

Jonathan proposes the same game plan as the Esper walkers deck we saw in Madrid for Pro Tour Shadows over Innistrad. However, he eschews totally the black and substitutes it for red, gaining access to a more versatile suite of removal (the red burn spells seem to be better prepared for attacking small creatures and planeswalkers alike).

However, what brings this deck to the top is the Madness component. Whenever we combine those Jace and Nahiris (maybe this is the best planeswalker no one is talking about) with those Fiery Temper we end up with an improved Lightning Bolt - and Madness-ing an Avacyn's Judgment can be lights out for our opponent.

Moreover, the deck puts our opponents between the devil and the deep blue sea: are they keeping their removal spells just to fight our measly 5 creatures? They even keep coming with those Ojutai's Commands.

All in all, a very exciting option.  Don't forget to register!
