White to play and mate in 6 moves

White to play and mate in 6 moves.

Remember, Black is a knight and a bishop up and if white does not act now then Black will be able to stop White's mate and use his extra knight and bishop to win the game.

For the hints and the answer, look at bottom of the puzzle.

Hint 1: Because of white's pawn on g6, black's king is stuck on g8 and h8 and if white doesn't act now, then black will take white's pawn on g6 and black's king will have an escape route on f7 via g8 and white will no longer have mate.

Hint 2: The only way white can win is by mating black with his queen by, at one point, playing Qh7#.

Answer: 1.Rh1+ Kg8 2.Rh8+! Kxh8 3.Rh1+ Kg8 4.Rh8+ Kxh8 and now 5.Qh1+! Kg8 and 6.Qh7#.
